David de Gea 'to LEAVE Manchester United at the end of season'

Image
David de Gea is set to leave Manchester United at the end of the season with a big pay-off to cut his contract early as Dean Henderson officially becomes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's first choice goal-keeper. According to The Mirror, United are ready to part ways with the 30-year-old de Gea and want to get his eye-watering £350,000-a-week wages off their books. However, with two years left to run on his contract, any move by the Red Devils to move de Gea on will likely involve a substantial pay-out to cut his time at Old Trafford short. Once regarded as the best player in the Manchester United squad, and the club's highest paid player, de Gea's form has come under significant scrutiny over the past few seasons. With Henderson recalled from a very successful loan spell at Sheffield United last season, and having signed a six-year £120,000-a-week contract in August last year, Solskjaer is ready to hand him the number one jersey next season. The 24-year-old deputised ably in de Gea...

Strike: ‘No work, no pay’, Ngige threatens doctors

Image
Chris Ngige The Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has threatened striking doctors that the Federal Government may stop paying their salaries if they do not resume to work. He said this on Friday during an interview on  Channels Television ’s  Politics Today . According to Ngige, the Federal Government is empowered by labour law to stop paying salaries of the striking workers. He also said the Federal Government has an option of employing local doctors. Comte had reported that members of the National Association of Resident Doctors began “a total and indefinite strike” on Thursday. The doctors are demanding payment of salaries of house officers and an upward review of their N5,000 hazard allowance among others. The La Liga title will be won by the team that believes the most

Image
Luis Aragones said it before, and he was a wise man, but everything that has happened until now counts for little. Atletico Madrid's lead of four and six points over Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively will prove insufficient if, in the next 50 days, they don't overcome their recent problems. Atletico have been playing badly, hit by nerves. You could see that they were going out with the fear of losing LaLiga Santander on their minds for the last month, while Ronald Koeman and Barcelona have raced back to recover themselves in the title race. In their last 10 LaLiga Santander games, Los Rojiblancos have claimed 21 points to Los Blancos' 23 and the Catalans' 28. Barcelona have picked up seven more points. There are now 10 games left. That's why the international break came at a better time for Atleti than anyone. Diego Simeone has been able to reset his team, and the title will be won by whichever team best imposes themselves over the next 10 matchdays. Atletico s...

Report: Barcelona want De Ligt

Image
Agent Mino Raiola has reportedly talked to Barcelona patron Joan Laporta, who is interested in Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt. The Blaugrana have been linked with Erling Braut Haaland in recent weeks, but that’s reportedly not the only client of Raiola who is on Laporta’s radar. The new President spoke to Raiola, according to El Chiringuito, about a possible move for De Ligt, as he wants to give coach Ronald Koeman two new centre-backs. The report claims Barcelona target De Ligt and Eric Garcia, who seems set to leave Manchester City this summer. Reports in Italy have claimed Juventus are not willing to listen to offers for the Dutch centre-half, predicting a bright future for the former Ajax defender at the Allianz Stadium.

PSG are 'growing impatient' with attempts to renew Kylian Mbappe's contract and could be ready to cash in on their star forward, according to reports.

Image
The World Cup winner, seen as one of the greatest talents in world football, has just one year left remaining on his contract with the French giants - who are desperate to tie the 22-year-old down after watching him rise to the top of the game. But last year's Champions League finalists have now been put into an 'uncomfortable situation' after a lack of progress on talks with the Frenchman and could now be ready to cash in on him this summer for a modest fee of between £102million and £127million, as reported by Le Parisien. PSG would be taking a significant hit on Mbappe - linked with Liverpool and Real Madrid, having paid £150m for him to sign from Monaco back in 2017, when he was just a teenager, but club chiefs and boss Mauricio Pochettino will be wary that they could be in danger of losing him for nothing next season. Should Mbappe carry that price tag this summer, it would make him a cheaper option than the highly coveted Dortmund forward Erling Haaland - who is one o...

Leader in sustainability

Image
believe being a sustainability leader is fundamentally about helping to save and improve as many lives as possible. It’s about helping life on earth to consistently thrive. The best way to do this will inevitably change over time as circumstances change. But right now, in 2021 and for at least the next few decades, humanity is faced with an accelerating climate and ecological emergency. So science-based climate action should be our top priority. Because if we get this wrong, nothing else will be right. To help  save all that we can , here are a couple of key questions to ask yourself: What is my net impact on greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere? Am I helping to prevent or remove more emissions than I am putting in? How could I do more with what I have and who I know? By helping to minimize the amount of greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere you are minimizing both the amount of deadly warming in the future  and  the amount of deadly pollution poisoning ...
